Yes, Crew X is completely free to join and use. Whether you are crew or a company, you can create your profile, showcase your experience, add links to your work, search for collaborators and send connection requests at no cost. We believe great work starts with good people having the opportunity to find each other. Build your network, discover talent and start conversations about your next project. Any work you arrange is agreed and paid for directly between you and your collaborators.

Who can join Crew X?
Photographers, videographers, directors, producers, content creators, wardrobe and styling professionals, production managers, unit managers, co-ordinators, camera assistants, lighting crew, sound crew, grips and production assistants can join. Companies can create a profile to find collaborators too.
How do I find crew for a shoot?
Create an account and search by role, name, location or speciality. Combine terms such as videographer in Cape Town or photographer in Johannesburg to narrow your search. Results depend on the members who have made their profiles discoverable.
Can I connect with people in other countries?
Yes. Profiles support countries and cities worldwide, with a travel preference to help members explain where they work. You can search locations beyond your own city.
When are contact details shared?
Members can view discoverable profiles after signing in. Email addresses and optional phone numbers are shared between two members only after a connection request is accepted.
Does Crew X book or verify crew?
Crew X helps people make introductions. Members supply their own profile information and agree on availability, scope, rates and payments directly. Crew X does not currently handle bookings or verify qualifications.
